Course

This training programme focuses on developing the skills of the trainees to handle all normal maintenance activities of various electrical machineries and equipments on the Ship.

The course includes theory classes and practical workshop training of the following:

Introduction
Awareness of Ship Environment
Safe Working Practices - Theory and Video Sessions
Electrical & Electronics Theory classes
Practical Marine Electrical & Electronics at Ship Repair workshop
Automation & controls/Instrumentation/PLC/Boiler Controls

STCW’95 Safety Courses

Medical Standard:

Physical Standards: Candidates should be healthy and physically fit for sea service as per STCW 95/MS Medical rules 2000 as applicable to seafarers. Candidates will have to undergo a full medical check up by a Company Medical Officer.

Eyesight: +/- 2.5 permitted. Normal colour vision. Candidates will have to undergo a full eyesight test by a Company Medical Officer and sight test by Mercantile Marine Department.

Medical test cost Rs.1200/-(Approx)

Admission Procedure:

Eligible candidates will be called for medical test, interview and final selection Medical and Interview will take place at Mumbai.

The Company will inform the candidates about time and venue

The Company will not provide any lodging, boarding, travelling or any other incidental expenses to the candidates incurred during admission process

How to apply

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria should apply in English only.

A Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred Only) drawn on a Mumbai branch of any Nationalised Bank crossed “A/c Payee Only” and payable to “The Udya Shipping Services Pvt.Ltd.” Must be enclosed with the Application Form. Any Application received without the Demand Draft or for lesser amount will not be considered.

Applicant must write his name in CAPITALS on the reverse of the Demand Draft.

Duly completed Application Form along with the Demand Draft should be sent in a sealed envelope superscribed as “Application for MARINE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEER to The Training Manager, Udya Shipping Services Pvt.Ltd.., 39, B Wing, 1st Floor, Welfare Chambers, Sec-17, Vashi, Navi Mumbai-400 705.

General Instructions.

The Applicants are responsible to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria, regarding educational qualifications, age and eyesight.
If any false / incorrect information furnished by the Applicant is detected at any stage, his candidature will not be considered and if selected, he will be removed from the training course and course fees will be forfeited.
Training fees, Registration fees, Examination fees once paid, will not be refunded, partly or otherwise, under any circumstances.
Duly filled in Application Form should have one photograph pasted and Demand Draft attached. Photocopies of certificates should be sent with the application form.
Candidates should possess at least Twelve (12) recent passport size photographs (front view) and these photographs only must be used on Application Form, Interview, Medical Examination, training etc. Any change of photograph will disqualify the Candidate.
Candidates, at the time of interview, will be required to produce original copies of proof of age, Degree Certificate, HSC Certificate or equivalent, SSC Certificate or equivalent, where applicable from Govt. recognized board/universities.
